By accessing or buying from otakustudios.store ("OTAKU STUDIOS", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. The pieces

OTAKU STUDIOS sells one-of-one and limited-run streetwear, hand-reworked from vintage garments. All pieces are made-to-order — production begins after your purchase and takes 5–7 business days. Because every piece is unique:

  • Slight imperfections, signs of wear, and natural fading are part of the piece — not defects.
  • Colours and tones may differ slightly from photos due to monitor settings and the nature of vintage fabric.
  • Once a piece is sold, it is gone — we cannot reproduce it.

2. Made-to-order & no change-of-mind returns

By completing checkout, you acknowledge that:

  • Your piece is made-to-order to your selected specifications
  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 Reg 28(1)(b), made-to-order goods are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period
  • You cannot return your piece for change of mind or sizing issues
  • Your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, or incorrectly-supplied goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected — see our Refund Policy

3. Orders & pricing

All prices are in GBP (£) and include UK VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, if the piece is mis-listed, if we suspect fraudulent activity, or if our base materials become unavailable mid-production. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.

4. Payment

We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and Klarna where supported. Payment is taken in full at checkout.

5. Intellectual property

All site content — text, photography, design, the OTAKU STUDIOS name and chrome logo — is owned by OTAKU STUDIOS. Pieces are inspired by anime, manga and pop culture as parody and homage; we do not claim ownership of any third-party characters or trademarks referenced.

Personal-use purchases are fine. Bulk resale, reproduction of our pieces, or use of our imagery without permission is not.

7. Limitation of liability

OTAKU STUDIOS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or pieces. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the piece in question.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version live on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to that order.
